Meet The Team | KICC

The Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre is a digital media (creativity and innovation) hub under the Ntha Foundation that works to empower young people to use their creative and innovative skills and talents for development through advocacy. KICC specialises in digital storytelling, and is home to innovations and platforms like Digi Savvy Africa, ColanceAfrica, Tailored Africa, NMN Africa, Bants2Business, Music4Malawi, and more. 

The KICC is comprised of the KICC operations team, which is supported by the Ntha Foundation team, and several products teams managing the various innovations.

MANAGEMENT

Panji Harawa 

ICT director

Born in Mzimba, Home Village Rumphi, Malawi, currently resident in Lilongwe, Panji is currently working the Managing Director for Kwathu Innovation and Creative Centre in the World Bank Funded Digital Malawi project, he is an is an expert in ICT for Development (ICT4D) and Digital Innovations with more than 10years of experience working in senior management roles and positions. He has worked as a national ICT Expert and Project Manager on projects with multilateral donor support from various local and International Organizations as well as key line Ministries in the Malawian Government. He is experienced in provision and development of ICT strategy and policy frameworks and governance related interventions is the public sector. He is also well experienced in using digital innovations in areas such as mobile-health, e-agriculture, EdTech and digital learning and teaching and a tech enthusiast in emerging and modern technologies such as Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain and NFTs.

Linda Mchawi  

Hub Manager 

Born in Blantyre, home village Karonga and currently a resident of Lilongwe, Malawi. Linda is currently working with Kwathu Innovation and Creative Center as the Hub Manager for Mangochi under the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills For All Malawi Government project. Linda holds a Bachelors degree in Health Information Management with a minor in sociology from Alabama State University.

Peter Makwete 

Business Development Lead

Born in Lilongwe, Home village Balaka, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, Peter is currently working as a Trainer in the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills For All Malawi Government project. Peter is also the Business Development Lead for Kwathu Innovation and Creative Centre, and the Ntha Foundation. He currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Social Studies from the University of Malawi, as well as a Masters in Business Administration from UNICAF University.

Rebecca Mzungu Saeluzika 

Head of ICT  

Born in Lilongwe, Home village Kasungu, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, Rebecca is currently working as the Head of Trainer in the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills for All Malawi Government project. Rebecca is also the Head of ICT of Bien Corporation Africa, and the Ntha Foundation. Rebecca has an Honors Degree in Business Technology and a master’s degree in Engineering (Communication and Information Systems).

Dennis Makwakwa  

Full Stack Developer and Trainer  

Born in Lilongwe, Home village Mzimba, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, Dennis is currently working as a Full Stack Developer and Trainer in the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills for All Malawi Government Project. Dennis is also a Full Stack Developer at Ntha Foundation. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology obtained from one of distinguished Universities in Malawi, Malawi University of Science and technology – MUST.

Chifundo Mazengera 

Marketing & Sales Officer 

Born in Blantyre, home village Lilongwe, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, Chifundo is currently working as a Sales & Marketing officer in the World Bank-funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills For All Malawi Government project. Chifundo is also a business development specialist for Bien Corporation Africa. Chifundo has an honors degree in Business Management (Nelson Mandela University) and a certified distinction in project management (Varisty College).

Benedict Sam Snr (Ben Sam

Media LEAD (PRODUCER and Trainer)

Born in BT, from Balaka, Lupanga Village; T/A Nsamala, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, Ben Sam is currently working as a Media Specialist and Trainer in the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills For All Malawi Government project. He is a Creative Director and a Video Producer, also an experienced Professional Corporate Photographer

William Chipula 

Graphic designer and Trainer 

Born in Lilongwe, Home village Mulanje, Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, william is currently working as a Graphic design trainer  in the World Bank funded Digital Malawi – Digital Skills For All Malawi Government project. William is also the Graphic designer of Bien Corporation Africa, and the Ntha Foundation. Wiliam has 6 years experience in graphic designing.

Pride musemwa  

Media officer (VIDEO PRODUCTION AND GRAPHICS)

Born in Lilongwe, Home village Kasungu Malawi, and currently resident in Lilongwe, Malawi, pride is currently working as a graphics officer at Ntha Foundation. Pride is also the videographer of Bien Corporation Africa. Pride holds a certificate in ICT, and is the CEO AT Pride star pictures.

Our team is supported by fellows from the M’mawa Management Training program. The M’mawa Management Training is a full-time, voluntary training program at Ntha Foundation, fully funded by the Bien Corporation Africa, providing in-class lessons and on-the-job trainings in administration, communication, digital, and people skills; as well as work ethics.
